Abstract

In the wake of the eco-civilization agenda launched by the Chinese government and of the recent pandemic, Chinese municipalities are increasingly embracing the “healthy city model”, striving to streamline health issues into an improved urban environment. This article explores the genealogy of the model as well as its implication and links to other urban development models.
