Abstract
This paper firstly introduces briefly the Catholic Dominican missionaries in the region of southern Fo-kien,China. Through historical study combined with fieldwork, it examines the architectural characters of modern Catholic Churches in Southern Fo-kien via the angle of hierachy of the Catholic Dominican churches, and highllights the necessity to explore the process of localization of Catholic churches.
