Angelika Psenner

Job Title: Associate Professor of Urban Structure Studies Institutional affiliation: TU Wien

Dr. Psenner studied architecture in Vienna, Paris & New York City and sociology at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Vienna; in 2019 she habilitated on urban planning. Research topics: Urban structures of the 19th - 21st centuries; urban parterre; resilience; use-neutral building structures, mobility, perception of urban space and architecture, 3D-modelling on an urban scale.

Her teaching covers the following areas: urban planning, urban development, theories on the city, urban planning research and urban planning design.

Her work has been awarded with several academic prizes, amongst those the Elise Richter Funding by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF); Hochschuljubiläumsstiftungs-Preis by the City of Vienna; Research Fellowship by the International Research Center for Cultural Studies IFK, Vienna; Dr.-Maria-Schaumayer Research Funding Prize and Theodor-Körner Research Funding Grant.
